Motorcycle connector kit.
It is important to pay close attention to the correct polarity when connecting the rectifier. Reverse polarity will cause immediate failure of the rectifier.
For the phase terminals (the 3 yellow wires), the order of connection is arbitrary.
Large current flows through the connectors, so in extreme cases, the brass at the connections may overheat. This can even cause the plastic connector housing to melt. This does not cause a malfunction in the rectifier, but the charge may be less than the nominal value. All in all, in case of a low charge, it is always worth checking the connectors first (is the connector housing not melted or is the sliding contact dirty).
When replacing the rectifier, it may be worth considering to solder the connection, in order to reduce the chance of developing fault spots.
