Where should I buy my rectifier?

Since the price is typically one of the most decisive aspects of the choice, that is why we start our comparison with that. Disassembled (used) and marketplaces ones are the cheapest, while the original ones start at EUR 100, but typically the prices are around EUR 150-200. However, in the case of the original regulator rectifier, you will definitely have to pay for two things: the brand and the quality. The price of the rectifier we manufacture is somewhere between the two.

However, the reliability of the product is directly proportional to the price. In the case of a disassembled regulator recitifer, you will receive a used product that can break down at any time. In the case of a "Chinese" regulator ordered from AliExpress or Temu, the cheap price may indicate that the rectifier is made with an older technology, where the cheap price was able to achived with the poor quality of the built-in parts. In the case of the original rectifier, you can be sure that the product will be of high quality in accordance with the expectations of the given brand. This also applies to the regulator rectifier we manufacture, as we strive to produce only professional and quality products, because for us this is the main product, so if we fail, with this product, then we our whole company fails.

In case of a newly ordered rectifier, you often "just plug it in and it's ready to go". This simplicity worth a lot for many people. In case of a used rectifier, there may be "problems" with the connection of the connector or the size of the heatsink, if the product is not for the same type. We have one type of size, and the rectifiers are not equipped with a connector, so in any case, some kind of "knowledge" (from you or a mechanic) is needed for assembling the connector or soldering. We always recommend soldering!

There is often a dogma in people's minds that if they have, for example, a Honda VFR 750, then they need a Honda VFR 750 regulator rectifier, or at least a Honda rectifier. The truth, however, is that the principle and operation of a regulator rectifier is the same for all three-phase generator powered motorcycles.

The reason why you find on the internet that this and this rectifier works for e.g. Suzuki DL 1000 is due to three reasons:

1. Design of the heatsink (size) and the mounting distance.

2. Furthermore, the connectors can be unique for each brand and type.

3. Also, there are low-performance rectifiers, which might be cooked by high-power generators.

However, the principle of regulation itself is the same. That's why we sell one type of regulator rectifier (for three-phase generators) with 2 wiring types, because it cover the entire motorcycle portfolio. Since this is specifically designed for high-performance generators, it can handle any generator performance.

In the case of a disassembled regulator, you may have to wait and search for the "right" one a long time, but it can happen, that you find one right away. In the case of a rectifier ordered from marketplace may take several weeks for the package to arrive.

Original rectifier, if it is in stock, it may arrive the next day, but it happens that online stores do not keep stock, but only order it from the "wholesaler" when ordering, so even here it can take several weeks until the requested product arrives in your hands.

Regulator rectifier ordered from marketplaces or from a dismantled dealer will more than likely not be guaranteed, and the seller is typically an unknown private person with only a "Facebook profile" or a profile registration behind them. If you buy the rectifier from a motorcycle wrecker, they may offer a warranty of a few weeks for the used part.
